Client: Knepp Castle Estate, West Grinstead

Construction of noise elevation screening , landscape and land form improvements and lake dredging.

Matthews Sussex Ltd have been appointed as principal contractor for the construction of approximately 2.5 kilometres of noise and light screening bunds using imported clean inert soils along the A24 adjacent to the Knepp Castle Estates listed park.

This summer, Matthews is undertaking works for the dredging of the lake in front of the castle, to enhance the wonderful views from this beautiful building. We handle every aspect of the project and take the stress out of the planning process on behalf of the client.

Our aim is to leave a prestigious legacy of naturalised landscape which will be incorporated into Knepp Castle’s Listed Estate. Matthews considers this a key project in our portfolio, demonstrating our long term objective to improve the natural environment for future generations.
